The Hoots went on to provide entertainment for other events and also developed a 70s, 80s and 90s show.
In 2025 The Hoots won the Global Entertainment Awards as Best Pop Music Cover Band (UK) as well as the Bark Certificate of Excellence. In 2024 were voted at UK Wedding awards for the Best Band.
Client Testimonials:
The keyword for the Hoots is fun – they never stand still for a moment and with a brilliant combination of slick and well polished Shadows-style moves, make up and costume changes, switches of instruments and a backdrop of relevant video throughout, they create a show that entertains wonderfully. In both the 1960s and 1970s show, they galloped through an impressive repertoire of retro hits they spanned from every conceivable genre from pop to soul and disco to hard rock. Truly there is something for everyone here, whether your thing is James Brown, Chic or Lynyrd Skynrd. Within minutes of their striking up the opening chords of ‘Johnny B Goode’ they held the audience riveted, had them clapping, singing along and up and dancing. – Brian Harrington, Newbury Weekly News
We have had some amazing feedback and great social media comments, which makes all the hard work and planning worthwhile. You all did a fantastic job. It can’t have been easy with the rain and cold, but somehow you managed to get everyone on their feet and bouncing around for the whole performance. Incredible. – Midsomer Festival, ChepstowÂ
I wanted to say how much my wife and I enjoyed the 70s show in Ilkley last night, it was an amazing performance. It was nice to meet you all after the show too. The musicianship was fantastic, and Harriet’s energy levels were remarkable! To get so many songs spot-on was amazing and those illuminated guitars were something else. I’ve had a smile on my face all day thinking about the show and I’ll keep an eye out for future gigs, hopefully you’ll be back in Yorkshire again soon. – Nick and Lesley Crabtree, Kings Hall, Ilkley
