Musical Magic with Michael has been in the entertainment industry for over thirty years!
At the age of sixteen Michael was selected from thousands of young hopefuls by the late Michael Croft for the National Youth Theatre. He went on to study drama at the Academy of Northern Arts. He was able to become highly qualified in theatre lighting, stage design and sound technology. In addition he taught drama and was able to have his first experience at producing and directing a number of musicals and plays such as Bugsy Malone at the Theatre Royal Lincoln.
Musical Magic with Michael made his professional debut as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Credits after this included the role of Rolf in The Sound of Music, Action in West Side Story, Edmund in King Lear and Showtime for Walt Disney World Florida. This was followed by a number of years touring as a solo singer in many corporate venues in the UK and internationally working with artists such as Gene Pitney and Harry Connick Jnr.
His many theatre credits include working with the likes of Richard Todd, John Inman, McDonald Hobley, Eric Sykes, Britt Eckland, David Griffin, Jaspar Carrot, Anne Charleston, John Nettles and Mary Millar.
Michael has Produced and Directed the UK tour the critically acclaimed Mad About the Musicals. He has produced and directed, designed the lighting, written the musical arrangements toured as the principal singer in the show. 2008 also saw Michael being nominated the UK ‘Producer of the Year’

- Beauty and the Beast – Gracie Fields, Theatre Rochdale & Dumfries and seven seasons at Gaiety in Ayr & Princes Theatre, Clacton
- Jack and the Beanstalk – Campus West Theatre, Welwyn Garden City & Gracie Fields, Theatre Rochdale
- Dick Whittington – Theatre Royal Lincoln
In 2009 he produced and directed It’s D’lovely – UK Tour, and Waterloo and Shakin All Over which toured 2009 to 2010. More recently he has just finished staring in the UK tour of A Night Of Musicals which again he produced and directed. Mad About the Musicals has toured extensively throughout the UK, featuring guest stars such as Gareth Gates and Jai McDowall.
Having appeared in too many pantomimes to mention his roles amongst many include Buttons in Cinderella at Blackfriars Theatre, in Boston, King Georges Hall in Blackburn and Campus Theatre Welwyn Garden City, Funny French Franc in Beauty and The Beast at the Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe, Widow Twanky in Aladdin at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness and Simple Simon in Jack and the Beanstalk at both the Campus West Theatre Welwyn Garden City and The Gracie Fields Theatre, Rochdale and the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr.
