Mark as Gary Barlow is a sensational tribute act – At the early age of 8, he started playing the drums in a rock N roll band playing the Beatles, Buddy Holly and The Rolling Stones.
When his school decided to build a recording studio he was the first in line to get in there and experiment with synthesizers, drum machines, and recording software.
He won an award for a musical composition he had written for a school play. He instantly began piano lessons and then went on to play the keyboard full time. Being influenced by Howard Jones, Jean Michel Jarre, Thomas Dolby and Gary Barlow.
In the 1990s, he joined a Manchester band called Awesome 3 who had a few hits on the dance chart but this was short lived as the band split. After joining a boy band called Heaven Sent, he was told to sing differently due to his voice being very similar to Gary Barlow of Take That. So playing piano and sounding like Gary Barlow this was perfect for playing his idol. Mark As Gary Barlow AN AMAZING GARY BARLOW TRIBUTE ACT was born.
Since I saw you last
A million love songs
Let me go
Love ain’t here anymore
Hold up a light
Back for good
Relight my fire
Said it all
Rule the World
I just wanted to get in touch to say thanks to Mark as Barlow for putting on a fantastic show for my wife’s 40th Birthday party at the weekend. Lisa, family and friends have not stopped talking about it so were a complete success. His performance was fantastic and the way he interacted with the crowd was superb.
