Sensational 90s pop star Lolly (real name Anna) began her varied and successful career at her local dance school in the West Midlands at the very young age of 5. Her love of performing turned into a passion when she won a scholarship to study Performing Arts at the London Studio Centre. Brilliantly talented Anna landed a lead West End role as Priscilla Presley in a production of Elvis The Musical, taking to the stage in the evenings while continuing with her daytime studies. At just 17 years old, Anna was the youngest female lead in the West End.
This incredible opportunity led to other West End roles in Starlight Express and Hard Times where her stunning vocal talent secured her a 6 album deal with Polydor/ Universal records!
How 90s pop star Lolly became Lolly!
This marked the beginning of a hugely successful recording career and Anna, became Lolly, the most successful female recording artist of 1999. This phenomenally talented star achieved 5 top ten hits, 2 Gold-selling albums and was even a Brit award nominee! Lolly went on to make several appearances on Top Of The Pops, performing her chart hits which included, Hey Mickey, Viva La Radio and Big Boys Don’t Cry.
Versatile 90s pop star Lolly soon made the transition into TV presenting and became one of the faces to launch the CBBC Digital Channel. Lolly presented various shows for the BBC including Junior Proms in the Park and wildlife magazine-style show, Xchange. In demand, fun loving Lolly was also chosen to host MTV select Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel.
Lolly’s love of the performing arts was never far away, and she continued to appear on stage in many pantomimes across the UK, even choreographing and performing as Tiger Lily in a production of Peter Pan. Remarkable Lolly has also worked on the other side of the stage/screen. As well as being Associate Director in a recent theatre production, she is also involved in a company who provide masterclasses in the entertainment industry, to up and coming young hopefuls.
Lolly’s versatility and commitment to the performing arts has recently seen her become an artist manager. She has represented Britains Got Talent runners-up, Twist and Pulse and is also the manager of the singer-songwriter and Britains Got Talent semi-finalist, Rosie O’Sullivan.
Lolly is a consummate professional. This is an artist whose passion and love for her craft is evident and her performance pedigree speaks for itself. Lolly’s outstanding voice and dazzling stage presence make her the perfect choice for an array of musical events.
