Indian Dohl Drummers – The Blasters are the world’s first Dhol team and are a formidable army of male/female Dholis deployed throughout the World under the discipline of one of the Worlds greatest Dholi Gurcharan Mall. The Blasters have taken on numerous assignments around the world and have enthralled audiences of all types with their rhythmic and intricate drumming routines.
The beat of the Blasters is a cry of jubilation and celebration designed to uplift the spirit of Punjabi people, but at the same time share and celebrate the happiness with others. The Blasters are the ultimate missionaries of Punjabi culture- destined to protect it, develop it and keep it strong and alive.

A DHOL drum is very lively and colourful Traditional Cultural folk Music from the Punjab, northern part of India. The Blasters are World’s First team of young Male Vibrant Dhol players, based in Birmingham, England. Teams Performed at stage Shows, Festivals, Melas, Processions, Weddings and all sorts of events all over the country and abroad. We set a world record non-stop Dholathan in 1999 – 42hrs and 2001 – 53hrs also the biggest gathering of 315 Dhol players.
The teams over the years have helped to raise Hundreds of Thousands of pounds for various charities. Performed at the Opening’s of :- ArtsFest since 98 to 07, G8 Summit, Commonwealth games Manchester, Blue Peter celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee, Bullring shopping centre B’Ham, Flora Light women’s challenge B’Ham 04/05 also London Marathon 04/07, Mega Mela’s NEC 04/06, Zee Carnival Wembley 06, Plus THE BIGGEST SHOW – LIVE 8 with UB40 London 05. Released more than 9 albums, for some we have received Platinum & Gold discs. Also won many Awards.
