Comedian Sean Percival brings sharp observational humour, big personality and stories from Dudley to stages across the UK and beyond!
Comedian Sean Percival never set out to become a comedian. In fact, when he left school, comedy was about as far from his career plans as you could get. Born and raised in Dudley, Sean trained as a Fabricator/Welder, but the early starts soon clashed with his late-night lifestyle.
Sean had never been to a comedy club and did not even own a comedy DVD, but he decided to see where the idea might lead. He went to a comedy club and it helped him shape his first material and encouraged him to take the leap onto the stage. Sean started performing open mic nights, gradually found his feet and a couple of years later left his welding career behind to pursue comedy full time.
That decision has taken Comedian Sean Percival far beyond Dudley. He now performs regularly at some of the UK’s best-known comedy clubs. He has headlined venues including the Glee Clubs, Comedy Stores, Komedias, The Stand, Last Laugh, Funhouse and JTTComedy Lofts.
His festival credits include appearances in comedy tents at Glastonbury, Reading, Download and Bearded Theory, while his international work has seen him perform for holidaymakers at TUI Sensation Resorts and entertain audiences at Army, Navy and Air Force bases around the world.
Sean has also performed at the Edinburgh Festival as part of the Comedy Zone and continues to build on his reputation as a versatile and experienced live comedian. More recently, he has taken his one-man show, Made in Dudley, to venues across the UK, bringing his unique perspective and stories from the Black Country to audiences far beyond his hometown.
