*What made you decide to become a tribute artiste/vocalist?
I’ve always wanted to be a singer and figured if I could earn from doing something I love then go for it!
*Do you come from a musical family?
Not at all! Lol!
*What made you decide to form a tribute to this particular artiste?
The shows I do (Divas, Motown, 60s) are tributes to a genre or era which I prefer as I don’t particularly look or sound like a certain artist and I love the genres/eras of these shows.
*How long have you been performing your tribute act or act?
Divas and Motown for around 2 years and 60s (duo) for 3 years.
*What work is involved in putting the show together?
They’ve all been quite easy putting them together, as I did most of the songs in my standard mixed genre show already. It was fun getting the costumes for 60s show!
*Which of your shows to date has been your favourite and why?
I love performing the 60s duo show as I get to sing with my mate and we bounce off each others’ energy!
*What is the most enjoyable thing about being as a tribute artiste/or vocalist?
Getting to do what I love and making people smile. When you can see that people have had a great night its very rewarding!
*What is your fondest musical memory?
I once sang my original songs (which I had co-written) on the pitch at Selhurst Park stadium in front of 16500 people!
*What is your favourite song to perform?
There are soooo many but I do love a big rocky power ballad!
Are you a fan of the tribute act/acts you cover?
Yes I love the genres of the shows.
*What do you do to prepare for a tribute performance or vocal performance?
Vocal warm ups.
*Tell us something interesting about yourself?
I was once managed by 90s Pop Star Chesney Hawkes.
*What advice would you give to beginners in this industry?
Make sure you have plenty of songs!
*Have you performed with or for any celebrities?
As I said before, I was managed by Chesney Hawkes. Ive also sung in front of comedian Tim Vine and Martine McCutcheon.
