LULU TRIBUTE ACT
In 1997, Lulu tribute act Maxine was a grand finalist in ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ after winning her heat as Lulu. She continued her success and has become the UK’s number one Lulu tribute act. Following the success of her ‘Lulu’ show she landed a lead role in Bill Kenwright’s original West End production of ‘The Roy Orbison Story’ playing the parts of Patsy Cline, Dusty Springfield and K.D. Lang, where she received rave reviews.
This lovely Lulu tribute act Maxine is currently touring with her Lulu and Dusty shows and is also in constant demand as one of the countries top session singers, which includes performing as lead/back up singer in the 8 piece soul review – ‘The James Brown Experience’. In any spare time she may have Maxine writes songs with her husband and up to now they have written the theme tunes for the ‘Basil Brush Show’ for the BBC and a cartoon which is broadcast all over Spain, Europe and Canada, called ‘Howdi Gaudi’.
