DEBBIE HARRY TRIBUTE ARTISTE PERFORMED BY THE VERY TALENTED JO – Greater Manchester based
Debbie Harry Tribute Artiste Jo has been performing for over 20 years and her lively and hugely talented performances have led to a successful and diverse career. Since early 2008 Jo has been performing her solo show in the UK, Europe and onboard cruise liners. Jo has created this stunning tribute to Debbie Harry in a show that can be booked as a solo act along with backing tracks or with a live band/orchestra using bespoke musical arrangements.
Jo trained in London for 3 years at Arts Educational School, on a Musical Theatre Course before entering show business at the Players Theatre West End, where she was cast in the role of the Witch in a production of Babes in the Wood. Jo’s love of music and her amazing vocals saw her develop her solo show and she was soon performing live shows in her home territory in the North West of England. Jo went on to complete successful contracts as a singer and dancer for production shows for P&O from 1999.
Jo formed duo Infinity with keyboard maestro Jon Elsender and together they performed many successful residency contracts for some of the U.K.’s leading holiday parks, cruise lines and Haven Holiday Parks. Joanne then became a cast member at Butlins, Skegness for a summer and winter season, performing as a singer, dancer and actress, before joining an Abba Tribute show which toured the UK for a year. Hard working Jo then re-joined Jon Elsender to form a 5-piece version of their band Infinity and was offered a contract at the Grand Hyatt Regency in Muscat, Oman. Jo’s love of singing saw her continue as lead vocalist for Thompson Cruises aboard the Emerald. She also appeared in pantomime in 2005, 2006 and 2007 at the Stockport Plaza before making the decision to become a solo artist where her immeasurable talent has gone from strength to strength. Her amazing and diverse career put her in perfect stead to becoming the UK’s finist Debbie Harry Tribute Artiste
This is the singing role for Jo. She absolutely smoulders in her impersonation of Debbie Harry. Jo’s style and image epitomise the sultry look of the Blondie vocalist, and her incredible voice fits perfectly the new wave, punk rock genres that made Debbie great.
