Crossover vocalist Anthony Stuart a truly Talented performer
‘The King Of Crossover’ – The Rolls-Royce Voice Of Anthony Stuart Lloyd – South Wales Based.
Crossover vocalist Anthony Stuart has been dubbed, the man with the ‘Rolls-Royce Voice’. On reaching the ‘Blinds’ of BBC 1’s ‘The Voice’, Tom Jones and Will.i.am praised Anthony’s tone. He’s been described by the Daily Telegraph’s music critic as having “a voice Rolls-Royce sumptuousness”, handsome, charming and standing at an impressive 6ft 7in, Anthony instantly captivates his audiences with his personality and his lyrical, luscious, velvety tones.
This deep-voiced Divo’s background in the legitimate theatre, with successes in London’s West End and international opera, adds a sense of drama to his performance, which transcends that which is merely vocal, bringing it to concert, cabaret and event venues throughout the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, Far East and Australasia.
Crossover vocalist Anthony Stuart has sung with opera companies and symphony orchestras throughout the UK and continental Europe. His West End credits include Jacob in ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ on Drury Lane opposite ‘H’ from Steps, his one-man show Howard Keel: The Centennial: Celebration at ‘Live at Zédel’, Piccadilly Circus and The Ghost of Christmas Present in the London Palladium Production of ‘Scrooge – The Musical’ opposite Shane Richie, on its UK tour.
A Royal Command Performance, for His Majesty Qaboos bin Said The Sultan of Oman’s 30th Jubilee at the Bait al-Barakah Palace, saw Anthony invited to return to perform at the Al Bustan Palace.
Crossover vocalist Anthony’s appearances at other prestigious events include; The Not Forgotten Association’s Veteran’s Day at The Tower of London, leading to an invitation to appear at their Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on the presence of Princess Ann, ‘Wales@Wafi’ in Dubai (in the presence of HH Sheikh Juma Bin-Maktoum Al Maktoum) and ‘The Emerging Vision’ in the presence of Diana, Princess of Wales.
Anthony recently compèred at ‘Live@Lloyds: Stage & Screen’ at London’s iconic Lloyd’s building. His speaking/singing engagements include: the Cardiff Ladies Luncheon Club and the Women’s Institute’s Centennial celebrations, before 1,400 ladies of the East Kent Federation W.I. Conference, where Michael Portillo was Anthony’s warm up act! 700 pairs of jellified knees needed to be replaced afterwards!
Television appearances overseas include America’s NBC ‘Today Show’ and TVNZ’s ‘Good Morning’ and over 80 million viewers saw Anthony sing live on the BBC World News broadcast of the Titanic 100th Memorial Cruise service.
In cabaret he has performed at several prestigious venues including New York’s Waldorf Astoria and The Rockefeller Centre and The Carlton Club in London and has headlined for various luxury cruise lines and hospitality companies including: Seabourn, Crystal, Regent, Cunard, SAGA, Holland America, Fred. Anthony Stuart Lloyd was a pleasant surprise, he has a lovely voice. His choice of music suited this cruise. I sat in the back in case I wanted to leave, but stayed through the encore. I gave him a standing ovation! Please tell him. - From Cruise Director Leonardo Papa - Guest Comment
Your performances have been so very well received and the subject of great praise from our guests – and we have more to look forward to tonight. You are a genuine pleasure to introduce – your audiences don’t just watch and listen to you, they ‘enjoy’ you. What’s more – you are such a social ‘boost’ to any cruise that you join. Cruise Director – John Parton
You are not simply the Rolls-Royce Voice, you are the "Phantom" Rolls-Royce Voice, pure excellence. It was a great privilege for me to have worked with you on many occasions, and in my eyes you must be every Cruise Director's dream performer, going far more than any mile, to entertain your audience. Big Man, you were and always will be in my top drawer of entertainment talent, who warmed the cockles of my heart whenever I saw you were going to be on the ship, and I had the pleasure to work with you and programme your shows.- Cruise Director – Ronnie Finch
